Our Mission

To foster a compassionate society that prioritizes and enhances animal welfare, promotes sustainable environmental conservation through education, advocacy, and action, and campaigns for policies that ensure ethical treatment and sustainable practices for both animals and the environment.

Our Goals

  • Reduce animal suffering by promoting humane policies, rescue efforts, and improved care practices.
  • Promote sustainable coexistence between humans, animals, and nature through education, community-led initiatives, and policy advocacy.

Objectives of Nepal Animal Welfare and Environment Society (NAWES)

  1. Promote Animal Welfare:
    • Advocate for ethical treatment and humane policies for all animals, including domesticated, farmed, and wild animals.
    • Support rescue, rehabilitation, and care initiatives to reduce animal suffering.
    • Raise awareness about responsible pet ownership and farmed animal welfare.
  1. Advance Environmental Conservation and Address Climate Change Challenges
    • Implement sustainable practices to combat deforestation, pollution, and environmental degradation.
    • Advocate for policies and actions to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
    • Educate communities on climate resilience, adaptation strategies, and sustainable living.
  2. Policy Advocacy and Legislative Reforms:
    • Work with government bodies at local, provincial, and federal levels to develop and implement policies that protect animals and the environment.
    • Advocate for stronger legal frameworks to prevent animal cruelty and environmental harm.
    • Collaborate with government and stakeholders to integrate climate action into national policies.
    • Engage in evidence-based research to support policy recommendations.

    • Conduct awareness campaigns to educate the public, including school-aged children, on animal welfare and environmental sustainability.
